This is a very simple project hardly mentionable but I think that sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.
The problem I had was to store all the herbs somewhere in the kitchen preferable within reach. I made two variations, one with small shelves (top picture) and one with long shelves (bottom picture). They both have their plus points but the bottom one is the latest version and I am very satisfied with it.

The mechanism to hold the shelve to the wall is by sliding the head of a screw into a "keyhole" shaped hole in the back of the shelve. The shelve itself is standard extruded Aluminum rod; 60x25x3 (DxHxT in millimeters). I like this solution because it is simple and it wears with by the use and by simple oxidation. Cleaning is very easy and when I want it to shine I can take them of the wall and polish them. david van prooijen Herb shelve 2
